Noah
Cars, busses, houses etc. have strong legal positions in the society. Trashing another man’s car leads to costly legal battle. The right to mow, poison or radiate away complete families, populations, species and ecosystems is a human/corporate right and protected by law. Destruction is nevertheless romantic. It produces colorful sunsets, stories of Godzilla, and exciting news and YouTube videos. In many Japanese children stories and anime science fiction the ocean provides a source of well-being as well as death. Mountains have more still identity, they represent permanence. Noah’s bus is packed not with school kids, but with a miniature ecosystem, always prepared and ready to start the journey upwards towards the mountains.
